Having blonde hair often means brassy tones and dry ends. I’ve had highlights for ten years, having grown up with bright blonde hair, then like many others it went darker in my teens. As I’m sure many other blondes will agree, keeping your hair looking healthy can be a challenge and half the battle is finding the right products to use.
My new haircare favourite is the Oribe Bright Blonde Shampoo (£41). It immediately illuminates blonde and silver hair, and corrects brassiness and yellow tones while brightening natural highlights. I’ve been using the product for about a week now and my hair is transformed! It feels healthy and so bright like I’ve just had my highlights done- exactly what I look for in a shampoo. I’ve also noticed that the yellow tones in my hair are dramatically reduced, and after using this product for just a week, I’m so excited to see the results after a month. This shampoo is recommended for everyday use, and it does exactly as the packaging suggests, nourishes and revitalises blonde hair. Another added benefit is that the Oribe shampoo is free from sulphates, parabens and sodium chloride. The packaging is also a gorgeous coral pink so sits proudly in my bathroom, an insta friendly shampoo!
For those who might prefer to spend a little less, I’d also recommend the Kevin Murphy Blonde Angel Wash (£20) The lavender infused shampoo is ideal for colour enhancing and is developed to rescue dull hair and restore shine. This shampoo left my hair feeling soft, shiny and luxurious and after a few uses my hair looked visibly brighter and in better condition. If you’re a blonde looking to keep your hair colour fresh and vibrant I’d definitely recommend this shampoo for everyday use.
Lastly, I’ve been using the John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Lightening Spray (£6.99). This spray promises to target highlights to help you go up to one and a half shades lighter. I used this on my recent visit to Stockholm and noticed that in all of my travel pictures my hair looked fresh and bright- a big yes from me! A super cheap product you can spray on wet hair for a brighter blonde everyday.
