In this fast paced world where we battle for more “me” time, and aim for more hours spent relaxing as well as a better nights sleep, pillow sprays have become increasingly popular. They each claim to do the same thing- help you fall asleep faster and wake up feeling more refreshed. So when choosing between Neom and This Works, which appear to be the two most popular pillow sprays, it was a tough choice. Naturally, as any beauty obsessive would do, I had to test out both to find out which product really gave me the maximum quality and quanity of zzz’s!

They say sleep is just as important as diet and excerise for your wellbeing, and this is is something I definitely believe in, much to my boyfriends delight when I aim to be in bed asleep at 10pm, ok 8pm. I try to make sure I get a full 8-10 hours a night and so anything to help me relax into a peaceful nights sleep after a tough day is most certainly welcome!

Pillow Sprays claim to reduce sleep anxiety and improve sleep quality. As sleep is known to be one of the biggest beauty secrets to achieving great skin and much much more, it’s worth a go right?

Firstly I tried Neom’s Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist which had rave reiews. Their Neom Scent To Sleep range has been specifically formulated with natural fragrances so their products not only smell great, but also have a relaxing effect on the mind and body. The spray contains lavender, chamomile and patchouli, plus 14 other essential oils to ensure a peaceful nights sleep. It arrives in a glass bottle with simple but chic packaging, similar to the range of Neom’s products and so it fits in well with our Scandi inspired minimal bedroom. I’m not usually into lavender fragrances, but as soon as I spritzed this onto my pillow, and inhaled the aromas I instantly felt more relaxed and fell to sleep quickly and easily. Once asleep I didn’t wake up once and woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I could also smell the gorgeous fragrance in the morning which was a great way to start the day.

Then I put This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray to the test. At £18 it’s a slightly cheaper than the Neom pillow spray which was £20, and in my opinion they both smell exactly the same, which isnt suprising when they both contain lavender and camomile. Again, the packaging is super simple, it’s not something I would put on display like the Neom spray, but as long as it does what it says on the packaging, I don’t mind. This Works claims that the pillow spray will ‘soothe you to sleep’ and I certainly slept soundly- success! However, I couldnt smell the fragrance just ten minutes after spraying on my pillow which compared to the Neon pillow spray, was disappointing. I tested this out on a regular basis and always experienced the same. While initially they both smell the same and they both made me feel more relaxed and sleep more deeply, in my opinion the This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray was not as long lasting. Overall I would recommend investing the extra £2 for Neom’s Perfect Night Sleep Pillow Mist.

If you’re looking for a product to help you achieve a better nights sleep and wake up feeling rejuvenated, both of these pillow sprays will certainly deliver, and if you prefer a subtle scent then This Works would be a better choice for you. For now, i’ll keep reaching for the Neom Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist which sits on my bedside table night after night.
